How many of you are asking about status and miles at Delta? 🤣🤣 This is one of the 3 bullets that came from Delta COVID email.
During the school year last year many things were different because of Covid. One thing that was unique was that we could wear anything we wanted, of course as long as it was appropriate. Was this the case at your school, and do you think it will be difficult getting teachers to “dress up” again? Curious?
Anyone have covid and then develop an extremely sore throat a couple days into it? I can barely swallow, and Gatorade burns tremendously going down. I’m waiting for my drs. office to open so I can call, but was wondering if anyone had similar issues? Also, any tips to soothe a sore throat or at least make it a bit more bearable?
How do you make a new friends in 2022? Took a job in a small, quiet city. Blue New England area that's very COVID cautious. Most bars close before 11p. I like the firm, I like the work, but I cannot see myself staying long term in an area where I don't have friends and everyone seems scared of interacting with people they don't know. I'm not even talking about dating (though that'd be nice), I'm just talking about not spending all my off time drinking alone in my apartment.
What are people doing about dog grooming during COVID-19? Not worried about a bath but his nails - I don’t trust myself to do that because his nails are black...so impossible to see the quick. 🤷🏽♀️
What have been the impact of COVID on EY US?
What are some wellness initiatives your companies have started (esp during covid) that has had a positive impact on y'all? We already do yoga and meditation sessions, need more ideas!
Audit - before COVID, there were so many busy season snacks, interim snacks etc given. What happens to all that fund now? The firm isn’t really giving us anything.
To Bill Mayer’s point, what could be the reason Florida did better than New York in terms of covid deaths? https://youtu.be/8bQ2rctogOs
My fellow black Green Dots (Deloitte), have you read the email from Janet? I am glad to be working at a company that openly acknowledges what the black community has been going through with COVID. Coming from a previous company that was borderline and at times blatantly racist, it was such a warm feeling to see such a message from our CEO. While at many companies there is room for improvement with inclusion policies, I do think that Deloitte is doing a much better job than most. Thoughts?
If you live in the US, are you starting to accept the fact you’ll probably catch Covid-19 before a vaccine is widely available? Given the rate of spread in US
Question for everyone out there, I am a business analyst and thinking about exploring new career opportunities. What are the thoughts of the job market right now for folks who are currently employed? Is it smart to try and look for a new job right now in this climate, or should I wait it out until post Covid? I feel like I might be one of the first ones let go if I go elsewhere, and I know that many people are looking for jobs due to Covid related layoffs.
Do any firms still require business formal attire while in office (not when meeting with clients or going to court)? COVID might muddy this a bit, but still curious.
What are big firms like MBB / Big 4 doing to keep employees (especially junior level) engaged and motivated during COVID? In your opinion, is it working?
I've seen a lot of posts around APA and utilisation. Please correct my understanding if I'm wrong. APAs are only for those who have tested +ve or are taking care of family members who have tested +ve and cannot be used for any other situation. If that's true and you/your family have defeated Covid, why the fuss over utilisation? P.S. plz let me know if there's another use of APAs I'm not aware of
How are those people experienceing hoemelessness being impacted by COVID-19? Has anyone seen any data?
What’s the best and fastest place to get a covid test done for traveling in NYC? Need it for today 😫
Any current/future residents of NYC rethinking moving there as of recent? Have always planned on doing a 1-2 year pit stop in NYC but feeling wary due to COVID, rise in [reported] crimes, CoL, etc. Not sure if I’m just overthinking news I’ve read (EG: the recent death of the Deloitte SM) but would love to get others thoughts and opinions.
Should I expect much higher COL moving from NYC to Silicon Valley around Mountain View? Not sure if that can be used in salary negotiation
Hello fishes I'm yet o serve 1month of notice period I need some break from this hectic project. Any ideas to get early release Or moving to bench without complications.
ACN: how is our chargeability calculated? I find it hard to believe mine dropped 10% in a month where I only had 4 days unassigned and holidays/PTO.
Genuine question: why do people bill over 2100 in this market? I can see how wanting to be a “good associate” could get you to agree to go slightly above your hours requirement, but don’t understand how people end up billing 2500+ hours… do you really think you’d get fired if you said no to more work? Is someone legitimately forcing you to work that much? Don’t see how extra bonuses are worth it either.
I like my team at D and the work is pretty chill. Getting paid 90k base with 1.5 YOE. However I have an offer at another big 4 (Not KPMG) for 130k base, with a title increase. Not sure if I really vibed with the people I met during the interviews. What would you guys do? Stay or jump to the competitor?
Guys, need suggestion on below two questions - 1. If you are already holding offer, why you still looking change. 2. What is you expected salary(Is it good idea to tell them figure or range)
Curious What firms have a per diem policy?

For those of you who attended a FT MBA program, what did you do when you were not in the classroom? Besides traveling, partying, studying/homework, interviewing, etc. Were you often attending events to network, getting lunch with faculty, enjoying a hobby, something else? Thanks! *Repost*
Serious q: I'm choosing between a two BI/Ops type roles, one in a FAANG in Dublin, one in a less-known corporate in London (where I'm currently based). FAANG pays 70% more and is a more interesting / more senior role, but I'd prefer staying in London where all my friends are / where it's warmer and sunnier. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna take the FAANG role, but has anyone else struggled with this type of career vs. personal life trade-off, and how did you reason about it?
MBB, and particularly Big 4 fish - How much of your time do you spend on internal marketing of your services, internal recruitment to your service line? None, Some, Much or Lot.
What was your net worth (checkings, savings, 401k, etc.) pre-MBA and post-MBA and how much debt did you have after bschool
Hello All, It will be a great help if you could please tell what is the salary range for a Senior Analyst (CAM) in Deloitte with 6 years of experience?
Are FAANG companies very open to relocation?
Should I be concerned for my career with lack of billable projects? Background: Analyst hired out of undergrad in July 2020. I have worked on 3 proposals in the last 2 weeks, and 5 in the last 2 months. In the past year since I was hired, I have 8 months of billable work which is actually slightly higher than the other Analysts I joined with. Should I keep collecting paychecks and hoping for projects, or is this a serious issue that should prompt an exit strategy?
Anyone else thinking of leaving consulting completely for nonprofit, govt, healthcare or academia? The transactional nature of consulting, bottom line focus and power hungry peers has me so completely disillusioned.
What are the lessons that you have learnt from Strategy Consulting that you may not learn in other management consulting?
