Has anyone had a D&E? 21 weeks pregnant and after meeting with several specialists the verdict is that we need to terminate for medical reasons 😞. Aside from the obvious emotional devastation, I am trying to figure out what to expect physically?

I’m so sorry. From what I know anecdotally, you may experience some postpartum symptoms such as lactating, cramping - ask your Dr what to expect, because your body will think a delivery happened.

Can’t comment on having a D&E but so sorry to hear this is happening to you. I have my 20 week anatomy scan in the first week of January and even though my pregnancy is with a PGT normal embryo, still terrified of what will show up on that scan.

As far as D&E is concerned, personally I’d just be asking the doctor to make the procedure happen with me as unconscious as possible as it’d definitely not be something I want to remember.

like

I hope that goes well! Mine was also a PGT tested embryo. But if it makes you feel better everything was genetically normal (we did an amnio when there were some red flags early on). I have a placental issue that is extremely rare. And yes I have a consult on Thursday and hopefully can get more info. My understanding is that I’ll be fully asleep 🤞🏼

I need to let it out but I’m so fucking proud of myself and I just realized how lucky I got and it took me until just now to see it. I started in the military and it only took 2 months for me to get out and fall into a bottomless hole of depression. My transition went from: $13 an hour part time, separation with the wife, new job at $18 an hour for physical labor, hit with disability diagnosis, then $20 an hour new office job, reconnecting with wife, having 2nd kid, nearly divorcing (cont.)

If y’all know, I’ve had ongoing issues with my boss about communication. Mainly that I communicate, he doesn’t, then when I stop he gets pissed I stopped. Well, I’ve been battling a cold over the king weekend and today woke up to Pink eye. Didn’t want to spread it so I texted in our office text chat I would be staying home until I was better. No response. Just got an email he is filing as a memo about my pattern of no communication to management about my office presence. What the hell?

How do you all manage exercise and meds? I take vyvanse and have a peloton, but am kinda scared of the heart rate increase combination. I find the vyvanse takes about 2h to kick in and so I try to take it by 6am otherwise I’m dealing with the “hitting me” feeling when at work (which has resulted in some really embarrassing situations). In the evenings, I’m so hungry that a workout is harder to do plus you never know when the work day will end!

Hello! Any CST/CSFAs on here? I'm curious about your salary and location! My small community hospital was recently bought by a very large hospital system. Now we are losing employees (4 have put in notices in the last 3 weeks and pretty much everyone is looking). Any suggestions on getting someone to reassess our wage?

Has anyone tried not putting fertility related treatments through insurance and just going straight to OOP? Am wondering if that would be less expensive since I’ve been told that doctors and insurance companies mutually set the rates when things get processed through insurance.I’m at the beginning of this journey and already drowning in bills. It seems that even visits to the OBGYN to discuss test results related to fertility are not covered, let alone the tests and ovulation induction meds :(

Zero abnormal results found… we’re both 29 and healthy. Have been trying for about 14 months and have had 2 early miscarriages, 6 months apart. Anyone in a similar situation?
