Hard yes

Also, be nice to yourself. Flab is a gross word, fat is part of a healthy body, and spot toning is a myth.

Go get strong and toned, live your truth, but be kind to your lovely self!

Yes! I did it everyday for the two weeks before my wedding and it toned the sh*t out of me. 10/10 recommend (in addition to eating clean).

like

BC - that’s why I added I was eating clean as 90% of my body comp is a direct reflection of what I eat not what I workout.

Fitness in general will never happen overnight, but I can attest as someone who has worked out 6 days a week since I graduated high school (so almost a decade)/who eats clean that pilates is one of the best workouts I’ve done to see results. Again, won’t happen overnight and everyone is built differently, but I ~personally~ have found pilates to be one of the best and hardest workouts I’ve done (over lifting, HIIT, hot yoga, functional fitness, etc.).

I’m a huge proponent of reformer Pilates; personally it’s the only workout I’ve been able to consistently commit to and get excited about. Going 3-4x a week paired with being mindful of calories helped me shed covid weight, feel strong, and become confident in how I look.

like

The only time Pilates really toned me was when I was going 3-4x/wk and also did the whole30 alongside…it did get rid of my bloat over the 30-day period but I could never eat like that consistently (did it as elimination diet for allergies). I still do Pilates now but include it in a strength and cardio training regimen

like

For those who said yes can I ask what type of Pilates? Reformer or mat? At home or in a studio? How many times per week?

like

Yes, but if you can, try the Lagree method. Pilates x10

Yes! Do reformer Pilates a couple times a week and you’ll see a difference.

Absolutely, I like to switch between Pilates and HIIT (like barrys) and have been soooo toned since I started this routine! Do 2-3 classes a week and go on walks daily!

If you have symptoms just stay at home and quarantine. Even if the test says negative and you feel any kind of sickness, you should prob stay home too.

Developed carpal tunnel in law school and I think it’s affecting my weight lifting. I wear lifting gloves to help with my grip (and sweaty palms) but even with those, I still find myself struggling to not drop the bar/dumbbell after holding onto it for more than 10-15 seconds, even when the weight isn’t very heavy. My trainer says I also have knots in my wrists and palms and even when he’s massaged them out, I still struggle with this. Any tips on how to fix it? Should I try wrist straps?
