If someone leaves as a staff 2 auditor and then has a year or so of internal audit experience but eventually wants to go back to public accounting - should the expectation be that they should look for a senior position or a staff position? CPA would have been achieved already with a masters of accounting for reference too.EY @

Hi all,
I have two campus EY Deloitte on the table from Deloitte Tax (BTS), and EY Tax (DSG). Both are located in the SF Bay Area. Deloitte is paying 2k higher base and a 2k higher bonus.
I have to make my decision by the end of next week, so I’d appreciate some input and opinions on which offer I should take.

I was self employed for several years and had myself listed on their platform for about a year. I didn’t feel their system was very useful. They will send you leads they think are a good match for you; 99% of the time the ones sent to me were in no way a good match. You also can scroll through their system to see available leads and write a pitch to have them present you to the lead. There is no concrete amount of flat rate or hourly pay info listed per lead, just a vague range. Ultimately I removed myself from the platform as the amount of time it took to respond to leads (with very vague info) seemed way too high. For freelancing my best clients and projects mostly came via professional contacts or word of mouth. I did have a good experience with Beech Valley Consultants who have a somewhat similar model. I found BV had a much more hands on strategy of trying to match me with clients of theirs.
Yeah dude paro sucks and not worth it. I did a job there and the experience was terrible and so underpaid.
