Has anyone had any success here with recording a macro to set up a pivot table? For context, I am just looking to run a pivot and then run the macro and have it show the pivot table completed with the right fields in columns, rows, and values and then also formatted how I want. I tried to just record doing the setup of the macro, but I got an error message when trying to rerun.

Definetly possible, what I’d do is use the macros to record separate steps (for example: one to create the pivot table, one to do the rough formatting, another doing the more refined formatting, …) and use the Visual Basic Editor (Alt + F11) to create the code you will actually use from “scratch”. However, this way you can use the recorded macros as a guide line to the code!

I like doing this, cause it’s easier to learn each line of code, and also to debug it.

Buying a condo that has beautiful original dark hardwood floors in the living room, but old dated tiles on the kitchen floor. I’m looking for ideas on changing the kitchen floor tiles. My concern is that it would be impossible for me to find new hardwood that matches the living room because of the age and old charm look of the hardwood in the living room. Any advice? If I go with tiles in the kitchen how to I deal with the transition from hardwood in the living room to tiles in the kitchen?

Anyone have any idea when the hiring freeze might end within AWS ProServ? I’m currently at Amazon and have a TS clearance, PMP & CSM. I come from a Big4 consulting firm with a background in Enterprise Performance. I’ll be honest and say I’m not feeling very safe in my current role with the ongoing layoffs. Instead of leaving, I’d love to go back to my “consulting roots” and join the ProServ team. I’m taking my AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam next weekend. Hoping this freeze is lifted soon.

I’m a new analyst at an IB group.
