Try the mold people. They’re “air quality” experts. The better ones have engineering degrees and do a lot of HVAC work

Has enough time passed in history for that expertise to be a thing?
Look for people with a Master’s in Public Health (and ideally a PhD of some kind). Searching for “epidemiologists” doesn’t turn up a lot of results but many public health people have spent their lives researching infectious disease and are even working on developing Covid protocols/treatments/vaccines
