Been working with experience for over a year and was just given an offer for a new job with a salary range of 55-60, they officially offered 55.

Ok, so I have a couple of offers, one kind of lackluster, for the County. The other is for a credit union-I left credit unions a few years ago to join a FinTech supporting credit unions)
I was laid off last month and have had a flurry of interviews…this credit union offer is my favorite so far, I do have another offer I’m waiting for from another tech company which has a much higher salary range, but nothing is written in stone.
Should I counter? The offer is $95k for a project manager.

Are transactional attorneys seen as second class/not real lawyers by litigators?

It is common practice at my small firm by two main partners to fly through transactions for clients regardless of potential conflicts (for the company) or issues that may arise. It is often chaotic and has led to lawsuits being filed by investors against the clients. I know this is expected from time to time but I feel like I’m not getting the proper exposure to doing deals the right way. Would it be better at a larger firm or is this common anywhere? Mostly deal with microcap companies.

I feel like I’m the only one in my office that really understands what’s going on. I live downtown in a major city and saw the extreme violence out my window. My office got vandalized and nobody in my office really seemed to understand. I felt like they were all looking at me like I was overreacting because I did not go into the office today even though we’re all back open. Does anyone else feel this way? How can we get my office to understand?

Was a bit caught off guard this week when I received notice that I was not moving forward in the interview process for a position in-house after being asked to apply by the person hiring and subsequently told I would move forward to the next stage b/c they were very interested in me. I’m in a nightmare case involving multiple claims of professional negligence against many people/entities. The two person firm representing the plaintiffs has filed 6 notices of unavailability and essentially refuses to allow depositions or motion practice to occur. Is there a way to ask for court intervention to move this case forward? CR 16?

I found out a soon to be 2nd year associate got a 10k raise making his salary 110k now, while I, the soon to be 3rd year associate got a 2k raise making my salary 107k. So now the 2nd year male associate is making more money than me. How do I bring this up to the partners?
