Prop 22 was the CA policy that would require all those companies to give their drivers and contractors full-time employee benefits and such.

Honestly, what do you think weddings will look like this summer? We have already postponed twice from last spring, and are slated for late June this year, but are feeling pretty uneasy about this@even happening. Have about 3 weeks before my new job starts, during which I’ll have already left my old firm and won’t be working. How would you use this time? Especially since travel is off the table.

Does anyone in consulting see a therapist? If so, how do you navigate scheduling? I feel like schedule/work expectations/culture vary so much based on project/client/team that I don’t really know the best way to see a therapist even though it is something I would really like to do.

How many years is optimal to work in consulting before exiting to industry? Been in consulting since undergrad (~1 year). Content enough with my job to stay for a few years or more if that’s what opens the most doors for me, but I’m interesting in exiting as soon as I can to a role with less hours but seniority / upward mobility (willing to compromise short-term comp).

Are FAANG companies the only ones that offer decent TC bc of stock grants? What are other companies that offer hefty RSUs?

Interviewing and the pay is essentially the same ($250K) as consulting but I like the idea of getting deeper into tech and getting out of consulting.
