Home insurance increased over 30% at renewal. The home market value is $650k but replacement cost shows $975k. Currently, have $2500 deductible. I asked if coverage amount can be lowered but the agent said she can only reduce beacur there's threahold she can't go below. Agent recommended to increase deductible to $5k but it is saving about $190/yr.. After a recruiter phone screen and 6 interviews, got rejected at the final round. Can’t help but feel it was a big waste of time, even though I know it’s not. Just sucks to invest that much time in prep, and advancing through three stages just to end up with nothing tangible to show for it right at the finish line.

Heard nothing until 5/24 when the recruiter called - everybody loves my credentials, but my salary requirement is what they pay their managers and more than what the role I applied for pays. He said they were having talks about finding a way to meet my number and sit tight. Heard nothing since 5/24. Getting anxious here. No news is good news?

Hello all, i have. A question regarding compensation for a lateral move. I just received a job offer for an UA position from a competing cyber insurance carrier for $70,000 + bonuses. This job will be based out of San Francisco. I currently make $30/hour for the same role in Chicago, after OT it’s about $60,000. Do you think it would be wise to accept the offer? Thoughts in general?
