Has anyone heard of/have an opinion on Wavestone? Smaller euro based consulting firm. Interviewing with them this week, they seem to better align with what I want to do as a consultant right now and would love to hear others opinions on the firm as a whole.

Does anyone get a lot of interviews from huge companies but is terrible at interviewing? I have gotten quite a lot of phone screens, first rounds, and more… but I haven’t been successful in landing the job.

In a tough situation, interviewed at a startup and struggled to get through a live case, behavioral was mildly awkward as well. Haven’t heard back and assuming the worst, but the next round is a take-home case and presentation. Worth following up and saying I feel like I didn’t present myself well but am still extremely interested, and I think I can redeem myself with the take-home? Or too desperate? Thanks.

Can I take anything else away from this response that I received from a hiring manager re. a thank you email that I sent, other than them being courteous? "It was a pleasure to meet you and enjoyed getting to know about your experiences and how it could apply to the gap we are looking to fill, particularly your modelling skills." Some context... I interviewed for an experience FP&A/strategy role at a late stage startup. I received this reply the morning-after my final interview with them.

Indecisive about relocating to Bangalore and applying for a relocation to Kolkata instead. I am a fresher who joined at the beginning of this year (staffed in project) and my base location is Bangalore,2days wfo. The primary reason to move to Kolkata being the cheaper cost of living. FOMO the life/culture in Bangalore and job opportunities there, are the reasons why I haven't asked for a location change yet. I anyways plan on moving to Bangalore once I can afford it. What would be a better pick?

Hi, has anyone else been having difficulty securing a good job after graduating, and if so, how did you over come that challenge? I’m graduating in 2 weeks with a Poli Sci degree and I have had two separate interviews, the first being a very demanding law job that would have paid me almost 50% less than the pay rate of someone with experience—and the other a dead end because the interviewer felt my Poli Sci degree didn’t qualify me for a government job. (??) has anyone else experienced this?

Applied to 400 jobs with an automated job robot plugin and went from unemployed to 150k salary in 7 days of using it. I don’t feel bad. The system sucks and uses ats so why can’t we automate? I was watching Netflix while the bot sent out 150 apps a day. I only worried about scheduling my own interviews. There are people proud at sending out 10 apps a day. I used to be that person.

Trying to decide between a decent, but not ideal offer or continuing to search for my target roles: Current offer: Invited to interview for Manager, got offered Senior Analyst, FP&A. Role is still good (more strategy than typical FP&A, growth opportities, high visibility, etc). But pay, industry, and relocation is not (details in comments). Ultimately looking for roles in tech (more interested, better stability & TC, etc). Very early in the search, so I'm tempted to hold out for a better role.

Had final round of interviews on Monday. Got word today that I didn’t make the cut. Don’t know what I coulda done differently, I thought the interviews went very well. Have no idea what else they were looking for. Tied my experience to the LPs, I was relaxed, conversational.....ah well. 😕😞😟
