Has anyone here ever been ambivalent/unclear on having children? I’m 23 going on 24, and have always viewed myself as being a mother to 1-2 kids someday. I grew up in a very cohesive family with a stay at home mom and younger sister, so family has always been the center of my life. That being said, I’ve always been turned off by the idea of birthing a child (always wanted to adopt or have a surrogate) and have had a number of health issues, including chronic migraine. You are 23, you are not sure (which is fine and normal!) and you are otherwise enjoying each day with your boyfriend? No need to decide today in my opinion! Take it year by year.

I have friends that are a couple and they are still deciding kids or no kids together and they are married in their mid 30s. So it can be a decision you grow into together also as long as everyone is transparent throughout.

Yes! I was always very sure I wanted kids, but I’m finding myself majorly pumping the brakes because I’m really loving my life sans children and am fearful about having the right support system in terms of spouse, healthcare, childcare, etc.

I’m the same was as EY 1. I would also consider myself a very, very loving, caring and empathetic person and I’m just scared I won’t be a good parent / will negatively affect them by a bad choice or sub optimal decision, or not Enough time or too much time together. I just don’t want to see a little human suffer and there’s so much suffering in this world

I also have PCOS which means it may be difficult to have children. I also am very afraid of dying alone or living alone once my loved one passes away, especially because my family has a history of Alzheimer’s. In addition, my boyfriend of 4.5 years was a single child who grew up in a very toxic environment. He had VERY divorced parents who struggled with mental health issues and addiction, used him as pawn, and said things parents should never say to their child. He has no interest in having kids whatsoever. I feel conflicted between wanting a family, wanting to be with him, and questioning if I could even be a good mom given my health issues… any advice?

I am 24 and have been not wanting kids since like middle school. Then people are like you may change your mind someday… lol idk hope not

I want this birthday to be very special for him and make him feel optimistic about life. Appreciate any views -x

Some call it quitting on your team, U.S. Gymnastics are calling it mental health issues. I'm calling it something more specific related to sports psychology: the yips. It's bad athletic performance having the yips, but when continuing can turn you into the next Elena Mukhina, backing out is the right call. Alternate history: Simone continues on, manages not to break her neck, but absolutely s**ts the bed and is criticized for taking the US off the podium when knew she wasn't on her game.

Serious question: Why’d we have to migrate our network logins to FCB Health in addition to our emails? Couldn’t we have just started listing our emails as “@fcbhealth” but logging in as “@FCB”? Our old emails instantly forward to our current ones, so I don’t see why it couldn’t be the other way.

My wife and I just had our first child and as she was waiting to be vaccinated (we went for her first shot on the way home from the hospital), we told both sets of parents to wait 3 weeks before flying to come see us. My friend just asked to rent my car for 3 months. Any thoughts on if this would be a good idea? I don’t drive my car very often and could probably survive for 3 months without one. She would pay for the insurance and a rental fee each month but it still just seems strange to me.

Got promoted to senior but did not get a raise to go with it. So it pisses me off that they shot their mouth off about how great year last year was...cont
