Applying to another firm online, the application asks for my current employers name, address, and phone number. I don’t want my current firm to know I am trying to leave. Will the new company call my current firm?

I currently make 78k at Lockheed but I’m not doing what I’d like to be doing and i felt stuck and after many conversations with my manager and no solution in sight, I started applying elsewhere. I just recently got an offer from a smaller AI company for 95k that I plan to accept. I’m happy to make the jump, I just don’t know how my manager/coworkers will react when I tell them I’m leaving.

Any recruiters want to help me figure out if I want to be a recruiter? I think it could be a good fit for my personality/background but don’t know much about what the day-to-day looks like (and also have comp questions).

I am working as business PM on critical project and implemented a regulatory solution which helped bank saving YoY 1 Mio USD - in today's dept. town hall, my manager(cluster PM) along with dept. head presented a case study of my project on how innovative solution can save millions for a bank - disappointed that I was not even mentioned once and worse part was that, the slide they presented was also prepared by me ☹️ - never felt so low and insulted - how should i take this experience??

I work for a large consultancy and 1. I don't have time for freelance or pet projects 2. Even if I did them, I could seriously be in trouble with my current company. It was my first project that I handled individually. I got another project it also went well. Then I was told to work directly with a client, it's been 2 months already we work late hours and also on weekend (asked by the client). It feels like my personal life is gone. I really wanted to work with Airbus but they are not budging from the offer of 23 even after I told them I have a better offer from Genpact with better position. HR said they will come back..

The PE culture is sick. The 20 something VP was rude to our partner because our team took thanksgiving and the day before off and it was in the engagement letter that we were gonna be off. He kept emphasizing that his team did our job while we were on a break. Dude we are not sick like you and we have lives. I see something about how s**t the PE culture is in every deal we support.

Like these sickos make fun of us for working 80+ hours weeks for them and taking thanksgiving off.

Weighing up a top buy-side offer, but worried about perception on my overall tenure within roles.

May only be in this new ASC role for ~1y (personal circumstances). This would make 3 roles in ~3.5 years ( T2 consulting -> MBB -> buyside) out of undergrad.
