I’ve always had a full time job (10 years) and I recently took a job as a contractor/consultant for a bank. It’s a 40 hour week hourly job. Is this considered freelance? Accepted an offer and my start date is mid October. I asked about background check results and if they were going to send me an email once everything was cleared. I was told they don’t do that. Had a great weekend linking up with fam, went wine tasting, fine dining and all. And I love it when my six year old says she wants to be a CPA when she grows up. But do I really want her to go the CPA route? My younger sister’s a doctor, brother in law’s an engineering manager at alphabet, both grossing 600K annual Bay Area combined both dumb as hell when it comes to business/finance. Just got a verbal from Oracle for a manager position and should be getting the official offer by EOW. When I got the verbal today she said “I don’t know if we’ll be able to get there but we may be able to get you 100K base”.. I’m seeing on Glassdoor and Comparably that the base is at 110 - 125… how should I bring this up or push for a higher base if it’s “the closest they can get? Just trying to prepare ahead of time so I know how to respond, I’m new to negotiating! Any help would be amazing!

I am fairly new to sales (3 years), and I just closed a deal that will pay out twice what I made all of last year ($75k vs $150k).
