In the second stage of an interview process that involves a take home project that is due when you want. Recruiter said to not spend more than 3-4 hours on it. Got it a day ago and planning to work on it and submit on Monday. Should i stick to the three hour time frame or does it look bad to put in more work?
If anyone is looking to join a fast growing healthcare tech company please let me know! We’re on a big hiring push over the coming weeks, ranging from engineering roles, client services, account management, product management, and HR.
I currently work as a personal injury lawyer at a small law firm, 5 years experience, graduated from T30 law school in 2015. Our subject area is pretty niche, and I am looking to branch out. Not big law, but a different subject area, and hopefully something with a better work life balance (have a small child with hopes for more). Open to leaving the law for a compliance/HR/other type position. Am I even marketable for something like that? Am I being unrealistic?
I’ve been struggling at work, trying to get a promotion but it isn’t going to happen. I confided in my wife about this, telling her it was hard because I thought I deserved it and that I’d been in my current position for many years. She listened and offered advice, which I appreciated. Last night we got into an argument (not about work) and in the heat of the moment, she yelled at me that my stupidity is why I’m not getting a promotion. It cut me deep, I’m still hurt. How do I get over this?
Any insight into Uber’s, Sales Strategy & Ops role interview? What happens in the case presentation etc.? TIA!
The pandemic has taken a toll on my as far as learning how to be a manager while still doing the work. Considering taking a role a level below so I can just focus on the work. Any thoughts or advice?
Are MBB/consulting experience + technical masters (e.g., data science, CS) ever complementary when looking at exit opps, or are they too different to overlap (or, in other words, will the former have been a waste of time if pursuing the latter)?
Interviewing for a role at Deloitte Strategy & Ops Business Insights UK. Got a 4 hour long round 2 (video interview) with case study, presentation type rounds. What type of cases can I expect ?
Approved for in-lieu of travel next weekend. Due to team decision, we're now WFH next week. I assume the change fee on the flight to get home instead of client is on me, correct?
Hi Fishes, I have got an offer from Wipro, was hired for an immediate requirement for some project named ELC. Does anyone know about this account? I confirmed from the HR that it is a support and development role and has only day shift. Just doubting the shift, I can't work in night shifts How is the work life balance in Wipro? Does they provide any reimbursement for WFH peripherals like Accenture does?
Boutique consulting firm vs Big 4, thinking of making the switch to get more structured support and learning... any thoughts? Attrition is rlly high at my firm and project deadlines have been delayed due to resource issues
All I want is HBS and to make Partner at MBB, followed by a leadership role in banking. I am such a basic brown girl. I tried a couple of Finance jobs, but as soon as I landed in consulting I was like stability and prestige, hallelujah. My parents didn’t even pressure me. So basic.
Anyone else getting delayed start dates on their offers? I have had two written offers - both November start dates and similar reasoning behind it (once more work is available they’ll bring me on board). I accepted one, declined the other. Should I continue to apply/interview until November in the case things fall through? Or just wait it out where I’m at currently? (Side note, hate where I’m at currently lol)
Just started as Senior 1 at Big 4…is it normal to not receive any actual training aside from HR-related? Only Senior on my team with a team who is all new to the client. Honestly feeling as though I’m being set up for failure and regretting my choice to switch firms. Any advice?
How do I write my first post-college resume? Any particular considerations that might be different from when I was applying as a new hire vs. now with 1-2 years experience?
Thoughts on cyber exit opportunities from B4 to tech or defense firms with 2 years of software security experience and active sec+? Have heard work life balance and hands on experience are more common in industry

Anyone hiring at a non profit?
Anyone hiring 2YOE for $160k+ tech skills?
I am due to take 2 weeks parental leave sometime in the next month and have an offer lined up. Is it better to tell the new place I would prefer to push my start date to take my leave and join two weeks after (accounting for 2 weeks of notice when I get back)? Would that be burning a bridge with current firm (taking leave and giving notice as soon as I am back)? I want to avoid losing 2 weeks of salary during that time if I can.
Not even 2018 yet in Central time and SPG + UA already set all the clocks back to 0. Here’s to another year away from home...
Has anyone not practiced “ casing “ and was able to still do well in an interview? I feel after a certain time spent in the industry you naturally start to understand the goals / potential pros cons of business’s.
Can someone help with the base salary range for a 6+ years experienced finance professional with FRM and CFA certifications in Big 6 firms in Advisory practice? Also, what should be the expectations for joining bonus during the current times?
Has account management relinquished the role of brand custodian to planners, and is planning now the most highly valued and trusted client partnership? I’m my opinion (one guy with 35 years experience) a resounding YES.
This 4th of July has been the worst one in my whole life. I found out my significant other was cheating on me, my dog got really sick and now my pregnancy test came out positive...
Ladies! I am looking for comfortable heels now that we are going back to the office and client site. How do people feel about the block heel pumps? Do you think it's cute or a little old-fashioned? Thanks☺️
I was hoping the vaccine would help us get back to more normal, open, and less restricted activities. In some ways it has but since there are so many unvaccinated, is there any other way we’ll be able to move forward from this pandemic? P.S. I’m not trying to start a big argument, I’m genuinely just looking for the light at the end of this tunnel.
Do you think I could expense a weekly meal delivery service (it’s precooked - just have to microwave it) during busy season? Would be delivered to the office and is cheaper than ordering in.
How do you manage breakfast when they eat it in class? I feel like my classroom is such a mess before it is even 9 a.m.
Once, a M friend said "men are stronger than women, I could dominate you right now" and at the moment I didn't know what to say cause he was in fact bigger and stronger than me. But this is something that bothers me still... I think people in general, regardless of gender, have different abilities and it is not a matter of comparing but rather understanding how best to use them, for yourself and for the society. It pisses me off to know ppl can think like this, and he is actually a good friend
Anyone wonders what happens if you are working in US as non resident alien and got COVID19? Nobody is going to care? 😕
Which option is better to pay for a flight? - 52000 United Miles - 35000 CSR points - $500 Trying to pick the best value option.
I believe "Qualified Immunity" regulations be extended to Teachers and Coaches, like the cops have. We both police less and demand less from the public as it erodes. Should this be fought for by our unions/legislatures?
Currently an A3 in audit. My team communicated to me that they’re pushing for me to get mid-year promo (Jan 2022) but I’m also interested in leaving to another Big 4 for AAS as an S1. Current salary is $73.6k and am unsure of how much I should be going for to make the jump worth it. I know EY FAAS offered a friend $85k in my market but assuming I get mid year promo I’m not so sure the salary bump would be significant enough. How much room for negotiation is there with Big 4 experienced hires?
