What does HHCMG stand for??? Lol
The only way U.S. companies will spend the money on your visa and getting you there is if you have notable awards and notable work. Everyone who goes there from Canada is typically already a name brand creative here.
You could try your luck at the O-1 visa where your status isn’t tied to a company. But you need to be of extraordinary ability.
Or you could marry a USC.
Have you considered the UK, Europe or OZ? Likely easier to get a visa as a Canadian citizen. The U.S. is much harder to get into.
Yes, you need to be sponsored, but most companies are willing to do it, because it’s very easy. You book a flight, bring a job offer letter and a stack of legal documents to the airport, do an interview with US customs at the Pearson or wherever, then board your flight.
If you lose your job, you have either 60 days to leave or find another job, unless your visa was set to end before that (most TNs are a 3-year term).
I have. And I feel you. Feel free to DM!
I have! Feel free to DM me. Got an O1B visa. I have mixed feelings on awards in general, but for getting the visa they were crucial. That and getting 7 letters from previous employers.
