Has anyone here on H1b taken personal leave of absence? If so, what was the process like? Any restrictions?

Does anyone in the group have any of people who have moved from Non-US Deloitte to Deloitte US on L1A? I am a Deloitte UK employee who was earlier Deloitte US employee on H1B but had moved out due to not getting I140 on time. Now I have completed 1 year in Deloitte UK and have become eligible for L1A. Anyone sailed similar boat before?

How imp is someone’s Visa status for you while dating in the US?

Has anyone at Deloitte maxed out their H1B while waiting for perm approval? Does Deloitte put you on a LOA and change you to a B1/ B2 visa?

Aside from short term emergency declarations where visas are handed out, has anyone found any countries that provide a visa due to a skill shortage, or carriers that offer sponsorship for senior insurance professionals? Curious mostly about Europe and Oceania.

Any parents under H1B? I was@looking to get an au pair for kids and got to know that I cannot host one because I don’t have a green card yet. Any options? I heard people get au pairs that have another year remaining in their visa but couldn’t find one yet

Has anyone moved to Accenture Uk directly from some other MNC in India. I am being told that Accenture Uk will sponsor the visa but the Visa cost will be initially paid out by myself and it is approx 10000 pounds. This will be reimbursed once I come to the Uk. Also , for dependents Accenture will not sponsor the visa which is almost 5000 per person. Any insights on this would be useful.?

Offer eval - 195k base, 12% bonus, 10k signing bonus and no Initial RSUs which seems to be standard (218k tc), eligible for RSU refreshers after first year. This is for visa, cybersecurity senior manager over IAM operations and compliance (people manager role). im currently in a TPM ic role trying to get into management. 7.5 yoe and nontechnical. Is this competitive? I was told the top end of the base was 215k but reserved for people with prior management experience. Initial offer was low 180k

The green card process deadline is tomorrow and Im not sure if should initiate that or not. My H1B started last October so I still have time but I don't want to be stuck here for the entire duration of green card process. So my question is, after starting the process when can I move to a different firm? Will documentation resume in new firm?

I have recently signed an offer with a company and they filed my H1-B transfer case with USCIS. However, I have just received a better offer that I want to accept with another company. Can I still sign the new offer and tell the first company to “drop” the filing?
