Has anyone here traveled on the United direct to Tokyo from Denver?

No but I have been looking for a direct to Tokyo from Denver. I still don’t see one though. What airport in Tokyo does United fly direct to?

They suspended it during Covid. They've added the flight back to the schedule several times and let people book it, but then further delayed the relaunch (and then pushed passengers onto a connecting flight). I'd be wary of booking it right now until they actually start flying the route again.

Yes it’s awesome. Weird how you literally lose a day going tho…

I’ve done economy and Polaris. Definitely do Polaris if you can swing it, but I’ll take a direct flight over connections any day, even if it’s in economy. I have another flight booked for March direct to Tokyo in economy and I can’t wait!

I did direct Narita to Denver (one-way) pre-COVID and it was great. Also highly recommend the NRT transit tours if those are back — awesome to see the city for free with a local tour guide.

Serious question - is there a reverse FIRE strategy? I like the idea of saving and retiring early, but the one hiccup I see (and sorry if this is grim) is if you die earlier than expected. I’d be worried that I would minimize lifestyle and fun for retirement at 50 but I’d die at 49. How about a way to work 9 months out of the year and retire/travel/relax for 3 months? This way you guaranteed your dreams/etc. are fulfilled

Do folks have trusted/valuable resources for researching luxury family travel with young kids? I don’t care the cost, I want to know what is most convenient and nice for my family. Feel like generally most resources are geared to either a) families on a budget (I don’t care which hotel is best bang for buck w/mid breakfast) or b) couples / adults only travelers. Do folks just stick to true five star hotel concierges for help? Do folks just book luxury tours like A&K? How do folks research?

It's a small company in comparison to others, but there are over 10 locations spanning western Canada and NW united states. I'm curious as to what others in a similar position are getting as salary. I was offered $42k plus bonuses at the interview, but when called back I was offered $44.5k plus bonuses. I already accepted. Did I leave money on the table here?
