Has anyone here tried applying with two emails? One before you get a referral contact and another made after you do get a contact? That way you 1) don't have to wait till you build those contacts and 2) can get the referral checkbox if you're able to find someone I feel like this is an optimal strategy but idk if it's frowned upon. At worst, screeners have to read 2 resumes. But someone might get caught with some automated document comparisons? Idk

Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.

I work at a faang but I realized I’m really sick of tech after being in it for the past few years. I want to to go to a business school to chill for 2 years and think about what I want to do. I haven’t taken the gmat yet. Did I miss my shoot at applying this year? What if I prep for 2 months for gmat and apply for R2 - is that a bad idea?

How did you guys handle leaving an agency to go to another one? Recently transferred internally (tech industry) to a new role in the analytics team to focus >90% on analysis due to previous role being 50% ops. Now in my new role, the person who was responsible for ops just left and now I have both roles under my scope. How soon can I start looking for exit ops? Assuming I’ve been at the company for 4 years and new team just 2 months. Transfer process took previous team going to bat for me, leadership approval, etc. Looking to avoid burning bridges.

Has anyone here used a service to help you find a new job? I’m looking at one where they source and apply for jobs for me. They’ll also help me rework my resume, LinkedIn, and other materials, as well as interview coaching. I’ve been looking for a new position on my own with no luck for the past 6 months. The downside of this service is they charge a commission based on the salary for the job they place you in. Thoughts or advice?

Why do some people say that the senior level at big tech (e.g., L6 at AWS) correlates to senior manager level at big 4? I get it from a comp perspective since comp is just that much higher. But from a scope/skills perspective, I find it hard to believe that L6 is closer to SM than it is to SC. Asking cause I have a senior level offer in big tech.
