I don't have personal experience but I've heard pretty good things about Dell's solid W/L balance.

Culture and WLB are great. Lots of opportunities to learn and grow as well. Overall, I'd highly recommend it.

salary was 58k base. 70/30 split, did not take the job,

Great culture and learning/growth opportunities. One of the more diverse teams I've worked on, too, which is valuable to me. Pay isn't always the highest in the market but for the time I was there it was worth it to be on a low-stress team.

Yea, will be my first position at a technology company, and it matches my base I currently have which is nice and then commission potential is there. Thanks for the input everyone

didn't pass the loop for an L7 role earlier this month, and i found a good suitable l6 role. One of the interviewers added me on linkedin a few weeks back- is it inappropriate if i reach out to him to say thanks and ask him to put in a word for me with hiring manager for the l6 role?
i don't know y i was not selected, and i think its still worth it to reach out. 1 because i think i did well in the interviews and 2 its saves both of us time - to know if i should pursue further or not. Thoughts?

Any tips on getting out of this mindset? I feel trapped.

Had recieved offer from PwC SDC, with 40% hike over current CTC.

2 weeks after putting down my papers with my current company, my boss' boss called and is willing to "do anything" to retain me.

Having completed almost all initial paper work with PwC, what should I do now ?

My current company is great in everything except compensation, And I am interested in increased compensation and work experience. So the move to PwC makes sense, but all I see is complaints about the WLB.

Need advice.

How do you feel about the creative direction of Kate Spade since her death? Personally, I feel prior to 2018, Kate Spade was known for her bold and eccentric designs. Even when KS was acquired by Coach, there was still some sparkle to designs. Since 2018, I feel the designs have been subpar (sophisticated but lacking originality and more muted in expression). The recent Archie collection was cute and I felt they missed the mark with the Minnie Mouse collection. Love to hear your thoughts.

Ok. I got an offer for a “senior consultant” role at this ~75 person company. They offered me $115k base and I’d actually like to be at 130. I want to just ask if there’s room for an additional 15k in the base. I don’t want to qualify my reasons why. Tell me why I should approach it differently or if this will be fine. I figure the worse they’ll say is “no”.

Hello everyone,

I resigned Today from my current employer for a different offer.

I discussed with my lead , he said if you really want to leave then prepare a good reason and leave on good terms, management will try to give lucrative offers so that you stay.

What are some safe resignation reasons to give so that
they cannot counter it and it looks genuine and safe as well.
I do not want to say that I am leaving because I am getting another offer.

Kindly guide 🙏

For Adults

Hi everyone. I’m 22 YR old, just graduated college 1 YR ago, and think I’ve done pretty well at handling my money so far.

Now that I’m an adult, I recognize that new and unexpected expenses will come about, but I’m honestly not aware of what they exactly are, just that things get more expensive as you grow up.

I know i’ll have to pay for my phone, insurance, etc. but have no idea what those costs look like either. For adults, what expenses will I incur now that I’m on my own?
