When I was there, they unfortunately did not allow you to work from home, but they were fairly flexible on hours. They just needed you in the office from 9:30-3:30 M-F. Other than that, they were flexible on how you got the rest of your hours as long as your work was getting done.

I spent some time there. I thought it was a good firm where management did more than talking about caring about their employees. They have a mixed bag of complicated multi-entity trust work to fairly simple returns for owners of businesses. I would recommend it to anyone looking.

What are the hours and flexibility like? Is the work life balance good? Do people work from home?

Would appreciate thoughts on when to pay of student loans. Have about 40k left @ 4.5% (refinanced twice). I should be able to pay them off in one lump sum in a few months with personal savings. I’m currently paying the minimum, while saving aggressively in HYSA account , contributing to 401k to employer match, and contributing to Roth IRA. Does it make sense to just knock them out or should I increase investments focus? I know there’s likely not a “right” answer but what would you do?

Hi 🐠! What are some tangible methods you have successfully used to avoid lifestyle creep? I currently max my 401k and IRA each year, and was thinking of putting 50% of raises/bonuses towards investments so I never see it hit my bank account, but curious what you all have done. Trying to find a balance of prep for fin freedom while enjoying life. Thanks!

A few weeks ago our holding company said we’d be remote for all of 2021, that nobody would be forced to come into the office. Today we got an email from the CEO of our agency network (not it’s holding company) saying we’d have three months to make arrangements to come back; for instance, if things are better in June we’ll come back in September. I HATE these mixed messages. Are we remote for 2021, or not???

Last min requests for proactive decks to show the client ‘we’re doing stuff’ that have to be worked on over the weekend only to be not used the following week are really getting to me.
