I was offered a position at Deloitte for ~26k more than I’m making currently, but they told me that in 2.5 years when the contract is over I will be out of a job. Obviously I’ll be able to network within those two years and probably find something more permanent, so it’s very similar to gig work at BAH. I also just started a new project at BAH last month so I feel uneasy leaving after a month. Can someone at Deloitte give me more insight about PDM work at the company?
One of my employees is the only one in the firm who knows how to use a critical piece of outdated software. I overheard them speaking about accepting a job interview. Should I get them to train another employee?

If i have an upcoming “Case interview” with a PE shop, curious on what that entails? For context on the ask, they are providing me with a case on a public company at 6pm Friday and want a deck back to them by 6pm Sunday
Need advice - got an interview at a top PE firm for tomorrow morning. Not sure I even want to do PE and I haven’t had time to study any technicals or prepare. Should I just not waste my time at all and cancel the interview? Feeling afraid to embarrass myself
Ironic how a job at Amazon can be either a competitive, prized role or a role some compare to a sweatshop. I’m curious if there is dialogue amongst those who work on the well paid/tech side about the working conditions of warehouse workers.

I’ve been interviewing and I’m running out of excuses for being out of the office randomly and without much notice. I’ve used doctor’s appointment, dentist, “personal reasons” and an emergency appliance issue. Any others people have used? I don’t have kids, so none of those will work. Had an interview scheduled for Tuesday just now.
What's better for work life balance - go contracting or going into industry/in house? I had always thiyht I wanted to go contracting eventually (deep agile expertise) but not sure if the responsibilities of looking for a new job all the time, hiring an accountant, private pensioning etc etc is all too much of a faff. Thoughts?
