Anyone ever work at the Economist-Intelligence Unit? Had someone reach out to me about a BDR role. And I like The Economist as a periodical so I figured what the heck and now I have an interview with the VP of Sales on Wednesday, which makes me excited because it seems it will only be one interview. I suppose that could be good or bad though.

I went through two rounds of interviews for
a job that the posting stated $36.66 per
hour (FP&A Analyst)…the company
recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.

I have a few friends of friends there, also in leadership positions, and I'm wondering when the smartest time to ask them to advocate for me might be? Now? Wait til I advance further? Coming from a world where hiring processes are informal and the single most-important thing is who you know at a company, I'm a little unfamiliar w/ the tech world interview process.

I had very positive feedback on my interviews for a S&O role but the team hired someone internally. If I interview again for a differenr role, would I have to do all the interviews again or can I use some of the scores from previous interviews. I understand doing RRK again makes sense but what about GCA, googlyness or leadership . Thank you

This is my first post here so I hope to make an impact. I have a vision for a new mobile technology company. I flushed out the product idea I’d like to begin with but I have some concerns. Same money but hours better suited to my needs - my company refused to entertain the idea of flex working for me because 2 people already avil of it in a business with 7 people. Solar sales consultants make bank. if you cold call and generate your own lead and close it the avg commish pays out around $1ooo but if you can hustle and generate that same lead via canvassing door to door the avg payout jumpst all the way up to $7k per deal with the ability to close 5-15 deals per week. Can I ask a simple, honest question? Does anyone really and I mean really enjoy President’s Club trips? It’s usually right after a SKO and it’s basically vacationing with all of your bosses and their wives.
