- Where do most applicants come from for associate roles? (5YoE requested) what's the average background - still oxbridge and top MBA?
- Associate renumeration structure?
- is it more people/strategy focused like Accenture or more tech development
- Where does the majority of their client base sit?
- is travel frequent?

Hello! I was wondering when applying for jobs in the tech industry, is it best to apply to the role first (with no referral) and then reach out to the hiring manager or reach out first to the hm without applying? All feedback is appreciated :)

A few years into a career/resume it better (or how important) for the future to choose a client with bigger clients vs local clients?

I want to get to a point where I can have more agency in where I work. I know there are other considerations but would local ones make future searches harder? Particularly when you had a couple (but not a lot) of decently known clients on your resume in the past?

I've always thought bigger clients/companies can help be a base for your resume.

My natural instinct is to assume rejection if I have conflict with a partner or don’t think my feelings are reciprocated. (1) I recently interviewed for a senior auditor position at a company and hadn’t heard back from them so I followed up. The recruiter’s response was that I was still being considered for the position but the team had moved forward with other candidates that were better suited due to their experience. The recruiter also said that they enjoyed my interview but the team felt I needed a bit more work experience and that they would reach out if they would like to move forward with me.

Say you went through several interview rounds and were told you were the runner up because the successful candidate had a slight edge over you. Then you see the exact posting a week later. I’m guessing the successful candidate must have gotten a better offer elsewhere. If the company called you back and offered you the job this time, would you take it?

I have had five interviews for a risk management position at a hospital and anticipate an offer soon. When I provided my salary it was lower than their stating pay. How can I negotiate a salary when I came in low to begin with?
