Best way to make a memorable impression at an interview?

Any advice on being ghosted by a recruiter? After applying for a job, I reached out to the director of talent acquisition, who told me the name of the recruiter that would be reaching out. They said if I didn't hear from the recruiter by the end of the week to let them know. I did, but still haven't heard anything. This was two weeks ago. Do I follow up again or take the hint?

I started after the annual revenue goal had been set, and it’s literally a 45% increase with no additional advertising budget, no new resources or automation, no new products or launches…nothing…and the industry is seeing sharp declines. Just had a hearing on my motion to compel where OC told the judge we hadn’t conferred before filing the motion. Not only did I attempt to confer on 3 separate dates, I attached the emails and his response that he refused to confer to my motion. Had a recruiter reach out to me, they’re partnering with a consulting company but name was not provided. They asked for an initial call, which I accepted. Now the call is scheduled, they sent me an employment application which asks for a lot of information (e.g., references, employment history, reason for leaving, social, etc.). I’ve had plenty of other recruiter initial calls/screenings but does this seem a bit excessive for the first call?
