Has anyone jumped from one car company to another and regretted it? I feel like I really regret my decision to change jobs and now want my “ex” back lol. But have no idea on how to approach that.

You can reach out to human resources at your old job and see if they have openings. No harm in that.

I have actually done this before and went back to a company I worked for prior. They were happy to hire me back as I was always a great employee and they loved having me working for them.

like

Man, you’re at Cadillac. Best of the best!

like

its called boomerang’ing pretty normal

Are you still on speaking terms with anyone at your old job? Because you could reach out to them to see if that company is hiring. If you left the last job on good terms I would think you would have a chance of getting your old job back.

like

I had the same experience. Well, it's not just with a car company. I tried to get back but the position was already filed. lol

like

Nope. My previous company was terrible. I felt freedom the moment my resignation became effective.

like

Genuinely curious about what's not to love with Cadillac. How was your relationship with your former comoany before you left? Were you on good terms? Check to see if they're hiring. Chances are you'd be a priority during recruitment if you choise to go back.

like

are you a car salesperson

That would ultimately depend on the way you left your former company. Was it all done in a healthy and positive way?

like

I had regrets but it's not gonna help. How was your relationship with your former employer? Do you still know anyone from there? You can ask them to inquire about it. But if you are not in good terms with them before you left, you better look for another one.

like

I can tell you I left a job and hated the new one. I came back to my ex. job. I now regret not looking elsewhere. My advice I would look at what else is out there.

like

Thank you all for the reply’s! A lot of you had the same question so I’ll answer it here. So yes I did leave on good terms. I have really good relationships with people from my old jobs. Some really good friends.

My hesitation is I feel like I would be like a dog ticking his tail in a walk of shame back. They were all taken by surprise when I left. No one thought I would leave. I feel like I could get back with that company but I feel like it might be a lower position.

I mean you seem like you're in a pretty sweet role..tbh if you can, I would wait it out and then go back to your old place and see if they would give you a raise. It's worth a shot

What's pushing you to want to go back to your former company? You seem like you're in a great opportunity, but of course I know nothing about the insides of it. How did it end with your "ex". I hope you didn't burn that bridge so it would be easier for you to go back.

Oh no. Did you have a good relationship with your previous manager? Maybe you can talk to her/him about your plan.

Just do it like ripping of a bandaid what matters more than anything is the reputation you had before you left if you were a valued member of the company and they didn’t wanna see you leave they will definitely let you come back and it doesn’t hurt. Being honest we’re humans we all have goals, families to support and bills to pay so no one should hold it against you for trying to do something you thought was best for you and your family.

Not sure what the best bowl is for this request, but I'm interviewing for an Account Manager position in Business Management and I'll need to take a basic accounting test to gauge my knowledge. Does anyone here have a good resource to brush up on basics for tax accounting and any finance 101?

Thinking about adding a vintage Cellini to my (small but growing) collection. I’m a 26F with bigger wrists, I have a medium all steel Tank Française, a midsize (don’t remember the actual size but it’s in the pic) gold and steel Longines, and a blue face gold and steel Submariner that was my grandfather’s. I like the leather strap look as I don’t have one yet and think the Cellini will fit nicely but wanted to ask the bowl’s opinions!

Any inputs very much appreciated 😊
