React is sick. Python is more so used for automation which is super helpful but the learning curve is steep. I’d look into processing.js, it’s a visual js library used to create dynamic vector graphics within the <canvas>. Lots of DÍA.studios work is made using this
You’ll have more fun and find more relevance learning Processing (processing.org), which was made specifically for graphic and visual arts. Dan Shiffman, one of the project leads has tons of amazing video tutorials on YouTube and the community of artists is strong. Anything you can imagine in python for visual arts will be possible and probably easier to achieve in Processing. Source: am a graphic designer who’s learned both. Python felt like a silo when I was starting out. Processing had me coding graphics in minutes, barely any setup. Programming basics are very transferable. At this stage you want a low barrier to entry and something you enjoy and want to keep learning. For me that was Processing
