I’m an in-house lawyer with two years of post JD experience. I’ve graduated from a top Canadian school (if that matters). My work is focused on regulations within the capital markets. I’m considering management consulting. I’d like to know what salary range I should aim for at Deloitte, PWC, etc at their NY offices. I appreciate any insight you can give me.

I work in consulting, my partner works as an elementary teacher. I find that we don’t often understand each other’s work which makes it difficult to connect in this area, grow together professionally, or even emotionally connect sometimes. This with other differences such as interests, humor, socializing, make me wonder if these are too many differences and maybe we aren’t as compatible? Thoughts? Obv. could work but not sure we can grow together/push each other or it becomes a problem later on?

Does anyone know how effective J&J vaccine is? Got calls from two places to get vaccinated - one is today and has J&J (only one dose needed), and the other is next week with Moderna (need two doses). Aussie 🐠 here. Be aware that when you see clips/photos of the Sydney central station pepper spray, the police were blocking the main exits and corralling people to platforms 15 & 16 before they started spraying.
I’ve seen a lot of media portray it as “people who refused to leave after the peaceful LEGAL protest finished” (implying that this was illegal and not peaceful) but... why were they at central station then? Maybe they were waiting for trains to go home?

Hi everyone! Guys, genuine question: how do you stay productive over the weekend? I work 9-6 Mon-Fri and have some side projects that I’m trying to work on and somehow I can get work done from 8-10 after work everyday but during thte weekend… i try my best but my mind is nowhere near work. I push myself to work however my productivity is literally negative. Any ideas on how to stay productive or any healthy advice? Thanks all!
