Make $120k Accenture now doing tech implementations, just got offer 200k TC EY business consulting. I love my job, have a great WLB (working 20 hours per week, no travel, clear path to M in about 1.5 years) - am I an idiot for even contemplating staying? What I would be doing is more PPT/functional vs Onestream/technical which I do now.

You have to make a decision , live to work or work to live. When I left consulting I had a much more fulfilling wholesome multidimensional life. I slowed my pace on the ladder but overall am much happier as a person. You have to follow the path that works best for you and your values. At the end of the day life is short and some memories and experiences with family and friends are priceless

I was found shirtless in bed, barely awake, camera on for a morning meeting. I put my 2 weeks in the following week.

I just feel like I should’ve been more strategic when making moves and its bothering me
I took an entry-level government job after graduating into the Great Recession just to get wOrK eXpErIeNcE on my resume. 12 years and an MBA later I’m still just a senior consultant at a federal contractor (a field I have absolutely no desire to be in) because I don’t have the “right background” for anything else.
