Has anyone made the change from comms to change management? Thinking of taking Prosci certification and curious if it’s worth it to help transition into change management.

What is your end goal? Moving into consulting? In house corporate work? Staying at agency? If in house, I think they’d view it as a benefit but not necessarily a requirement if you have a strong narrative to back up your work/history. If agency, probably unnecessary; just network with the internal comms/employee engagement folks and help identify transferable skills.

Yes I’m in internal communications but also change management certified from Prosci. Great course, took it online but it might be even better to do in person… hard to stay engaged on Zoom.
Switching to CM means most comms will be IC so if you are doing PR or anything external, it might be harder to go back?

Hi all! To qualify for an L1A visa, do you have to be a senior manager / executive level or does it work as long as you’re a manager? I just moved out of the US because the H1b lottery didn’t work out for me, and I’m thinking rather than spending 1 or 2 years in my home country and go back as a senior, I’d much rather work here a bit longer, get that manager title, wait a year, and then go back as I think that would be the fastest route to green card..? Any thoughts/advice? I’m from 🇰🇷 :) TYI!!

I got denied for promotion in my current organization and was released to bench from my project, despite being eligible for the same.
I was suffering through health issues and tried my level best to balance work and my doctor's appointments. Yet, this is the ending that I had to see.
What should I do? I'm feeling lost as I have 2.25 YoE and I'm in a domain where it's next to impossible to switch company. Please help!

I recently took up a Customer Success Manger role at a engineering software company. Previously I was a Project Manager at the same company but wanted to move out of my engineering services role. I primarily took this role hoping to get exposure to providing SaaS services as company is transitioning at software cloud. My long term goal is to move into tech as my current customers are mostly in O&G. Is customer success a good entry point go get into one for the big tech companies?

Should I be concerned for my career with lack of billable projects? Background: Analyst hired out of undergrad in July 2020. I have worked on 3 proposals in the last 2 weeks, and 5 in the last 2 months. In the past year since I was hired, I have 8 months of billable work which is actually slightly higher than the other Analysts I joined with. Should I keep collecting paychecks and hoping for projects, or is this a serious issue that should prompt an exit strategy?

Tiger Analytics has started firing their new joineers(freshers) as they don't have adequate projects. I don't know where the freshers will go as they haven't done any project as such.

This is just pathetic from organization. They are just firing people owing to failing a test of certification, for which other company gives 3 trials but they are giving only one try with negative markings

When moving to Google, did you take a lower base salary than your existing knowing you get the equity grant?

I’m trying to wrap my head around potentially taking a lower salary, knowing I’m being compensated in equity as well. How often are you paid the equity? Is it only at the end of the year? Monthly? Would be great to get some insight on how the equity grant works.
