PM on technical as software or tool front is it ? Youtube is your friend ! Also project management skills are more transferable skills than technical ones. So its all about how to portray your experience🤷‍♀️ Have a handful of success stories/projecfs that are easy to mold for usual traits they require as per the job description. If the company is famous enough to have their "values" listed then embed those, Just avoid sounding too out of the book or use too many jargons. You'll do just fine :) All the best !

PM interviews are going to look for your experience in managing previous projects. They will look for how you handled specific situations, tough decisions that you made, how you handled risks, communicated to stakeholders, how you went about laying out a project plan, and of course, results. You don’t have to be perfect, but you need to sound confident. Project managers can work with a lot of people depending on the complexity of the project. Being able to navigate that is more important than knowing all of the technical/industry aspects although that helps too. Demonstrate people savvy and you are mostly there. Good luck!

I romanticized being a consultant while working in industry. Then I got a consulting job, a couple promos, and now the idea of consulting just makes me roll my eyes. I love the pay and I don’t mind working hard, w/ long hours, but the “business of consulting” is exhausting (e.g. maintaining utilization, selling engagements, 6k iterations of a deck, etc). Great company, great co-workers, and interesting engagements.... I can’t be the only one feeling this way. Time to exit or is this a phase?

3.00 UG gpa (death of a parent, caretaker of the other), 3.95 master GPA both in engineering, 730 GMAT. Have killer ECs, decent WE but not gold. I'm applying to 10 of the T15 in R1, with Cornell as my safety. Should I add more schools that are lower ranked in or just see where I land after R1? Really want to have at least 1 acceptance after R1.
