Has anyone made the transition from business development as a financial advisor to being the actual financial planner for a team?

Currently have 6.5YOE as an FA bringing in business, but would prefer to be in more of a planning role.

Sitting for the CFP in November if that helps.

Has anyone here done advisory/consulting work outside of forensics? (Accounting advisory, financial due diligence, valuations, risk & compliance, public sector, management or strategy consulting, etc.)

If so which do you prefer and why?

What does an exit from Salesforce consulting look like? I’m in a technical role leading a small team so my understanding is a technical/solution architect or a development team lead at either Salesforce or an end user like Amazon/Amex.

I have bounced around a couple consulting companies so would prefer not to do it again. Total 4 YOE.

I don’t think I have enough YOE to go for a program architect role at SF otherwise I’d be interested.

What position is the Senior Insurance controllership 1?? Is it equivalent to Asst Manager or Manager? Any answers it would be of great help

People work best when inspired, connected, helped, communicated with and meet others. They learn so much from each other.
As we slowly get to opening offices, this bowl helps people by sharing tips, stories on how to stay sane, interpersonal skills etc.

But one peculiar thing is happening. I have appeared for 4 Cognizant interviews but in all I have been rejected. Whereas most of my friends had easily cleared Cognizant. I am switching tech, so I am a bit concerned like whether my knowledge is too shallow😐

Anyone make the exit from B4 to external recruiting for an agency? Like Robert Half but smaller. I’m talking with one now and am considering it since I like the commission aspect. What is it like / how tough is it?

I feel like I was straight up lied to during the interview process. “lots of opportunities to hit quota”. I’m sitting here with only one demo two months after joining the company. it looks like our team has only two people doing demos, and demos are only happening once every two weeks. At this rate, I don’t think I’ll be even close to hitting OTE. Are there any other companies hiring right now? I’ll have a discussion about my concerns with my manager soon, but there’s too many red flags here.

Crying for my RSUs….started at my company about 6 months ago and got some RSUs split over 3 years. I'm a little confused on Danko - does he offer a self-study option for the coursework requirement? On his website it looks like each module has a 4-day virtual class which I wouldn't be able to attend due to working full time. Does this program also include self-study material, and the classes are just supplementary/optional? I was also looking at Dalton for self-study and Danko for test prep. Thoughts?
