Started my career in PA. Went to the industry last year. My whole team got laid off due to the current recession. Are big 4 still hiring? My background is in technical accounting and I have worked almost four years now. 🙏🙏
Looking to transfer to a different state with work (Australia) - will the firm (big 4) assist in this? want to remain in the same division.
How do you know it’s time to hop jobs? 3 years out of undergrad, 2.5 years at Big 4 consulting. I have a reach-out to join a boutique firm at a manager position, but not sure if...
Left B4 for in-house strategy in my industry. Been about a year but wanting to go back to consulting if I land a job at MBB. Would you think this one year stint would hurt my resume long term? Would plan on staying at next firm at least 3-5 years.
Asking for a friend - has anyone left a big 4 with an unpaid amex balance ? Does it go on your personal credit ?
Do 9-5 jobs still exist? I plan to eventually leave the big 4 industry but I keep feeling discouraged about ever finding a job that has good work life balance.
I started my big 4 career late and if I make a partner one day I will be around 44/45. Is this too late given that there is a mandatory retirement age? Or is it still worth it?

Hello Partners - I’m curious, by your estimation what % of B4 partners make it to the 10 yr, fully vested partner milestone? Would you say it’s a majority or a minority?
I’m a CPA in the US with public (big 4 financial services) and industry experience (tech). I’m looking to re-locate to the UK. I’m struggling getting any traction with recruiters or job interviews. I’ve applied at all the big 4 (EY, PwC, KPMG, Deloitte) and many other companies. I’ve also connected with dozens of people on LinkedIn and still have been unsuccessful. Any help or tips would be appreciated.

Are there any firms that truly value wlb and still have decent comp?
Churning long hours at a B4 lately has me feeling burnt out. Are there any firms that are in the financial services (what I’m currently in) or Rx consulting (something I’m interested in) areas that have good wlb (<~50hrs/week), without sacrificing too much on the comp side?
Anyone ever made the jump to FDD from another LOS at a Big 4 as a manager, or do they typically only look for senior level and below if you don't start out in FDD?
Better to move from B4 to boutique firm doing similar work with 50-60% TC increase or move industries to something more aligned to long term goals but minimal comp increase? Planning MBA in 3 years regardless
Anyone work at AWS willing to discuss their background, career, and how they got into their role? Looking at eventually moving to Product or Program Management. All help or chats is greatly appreciated.
