Has anyone moved from PR&comms to sales? I feel like sales has a lot more face time with clients and involves more traveling.

Looking for hope/motivation: Is it possible to move in house to a private equity firm with a non-traditional background? Have an MBA (not top but nationally recognized) with several years non-practice industry (risk/compliance/research) experience prior to being barred and currently at a boutique firm doing securities/private equity/Corp. looking to possibly move as 3-5 yr associate. I know anything is possible but not coming from big law and the non-traditional background make me question it.

Has anyone bought/ done the HRCI Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in HR Management? I already have my PHR, but I’m looking to gain more knowledge/skills and beef up my resume. Is it worth doing? The course is $239 and you get 12 Recert credits with it.

I recently started my first post-college job as a software developer and have to make a decision pretty soon: front-end development or back-end development. I really like being closer to the user and the creativity as far as front-end. But I also reallly really enjoy math and logic and the more complex side to back-end. My dream would be to do full stack but thats not an option. Scared of getting pigeon holed. Any suggestions as to what to do / tips?

I’m seeking advise from fishers. My brother in law is going to university next year. He was engineering (which is one of the worse decisions someone can do from my experience LOOL). I told him if anything he should do managment engineering which he got accepted to. He also got accepted to Mcmaster- information management systems. Which in my opinion you get a bit of everything! Feel like I was lied to when interviewing at my current agency. I was very honest how important work life balance is to me due to health issues.
