I did. There was a learning curve with respect to some corporate matters, but not insurmountable. I’ve really enjoyed having the opportunity to broaden my practice, and I do not at all miss the grind of litigation or firm life.
Agree with C1. It’s harder to move in-house if you’re a litigator though it’s doable (I did it). Leverage the firm’s existing clients and your network to land a spot. Then once you’re in-house, move beyond litigation into compliance, HR, and other areas in which a litigation mindset is useful.
