Base and equity are pretty set in stone (unless you have really good competing offers). I got an initial 20k sign on that I got pushed up to 35k (in-office SWE L3 but remote until RTO)
My other competing offers are 14-20k higher in base + sign on of 15-20k so I’m hoping that helps. I’m permanent remote.
Negotiating will depend on if you're choosing to WFH or in-office. If you plan to work remote, you can get a $20k sign-on with a 10% pay cut. Is that what you're looking to do?
I’m already fully remote so my offer considers that. But currently the offer has no sign on in it. Plus I have competing offers.
