Has anyone negotiated pay at a hospital or company that states they have different levels/tiers of fixed pay for so-and-so profession and can’t budge? I’ve worked in other fields prior to healthcare and have a hard time believing every (pick profession like PT) gets paid exactly (pick random number like $72,345). I’m skeptical because it sounds like “we have levels/tiers of fixed pay and can’t budge” is just an excuse to shut down negotiation right away. Can anyone share their experience?

Is anyone else tired of hearing people talk about all of the things our seniors are missing out on? I’m so tired of this entitlement situation. Yes, it would be nice to have a graduation and end of the year activities. But these things are not owed to anyone. How about being grateful for survival? There are students all over the world that seem to get along just fine without senior activities.

Currently a staff 2 at EY and will be promoted to senior consultant in October. Just got an offer for a security technical specialist position at Microsoft that pays around 40% more. WWYD? What is the best long term?

I've been at my current company 3 years without a significant raise (while several men I work with have had raises and promotions) and I'm wondering if I'm losing out on a higher potential salary or earning potential by staying this long? Should I be looking to move on to another company that actually promotes women or should I fight for a raise here? Confused. Looking to go from an associate position to a manager position.
