Welcome everyone 🤗
If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Almost missed a deadline once but my office romance was assistant to the manager and he drove to the NY office for me. Well... he showed up late and ended up getting fired for lying to the manager. He had ended up at Staples and killing it but he was miserable. Ended up confessing to my M and he realized how much D ( my office romance) how much he loved our company. And he got rehired, things got weird after he killed my cat though and I got with another coworker but even now ... I still whisper “ Oh D" at night with my new Cornell grad lover
@D4 of course there is but I wasn’t going to write everything lol I was just doing it while on the subway for self entertainment
Your client/team should be aware that you are going to miss well before the deadline so everyone can adjust. It should never be a surprise.
Seconding this, communicating ahead of time is key^
Risk log is your friend. Keep a running list throughout your project. Address early and often. When you miss, it really isn’t terrible- if you have a trail and proof of constant communication.
You Sir/Madame (C1), single-handedly saved me from alot of headache and depression. Thank you for this comment!!
It’s not that big of a deal if it’s a long term contract. Lay out what happened (scope increase, unforeseen delays), and set expectations for the next round. I have had those conversations with multiple clients almost never has turned out bad

WHERE MY ACN PEOPLE ATTTTTTTTTTTTT?
Missing deadlines is just a thing that happens. If you guys worked your asses off and can prove that it was either unrealistic expectations or there was something beyond your control you’ll probably be fine. If you just fucked off and they can hang the failure around your neck you’re probably in trouble.
That’s true, but I’m the bigger projects it’s often the partners hocking stuff and managers/seniors driving it out. I’ve never been on a larger project, with direct partner involvement, where they didn’t sell it themselves and it wasn’t huge
Yes - have missed a deadline before. As a poster above mentioned, just be able to CYA.
Also - we’re not James Bond dismantling atomic weapons that are set to a timer, so I wouldn’t sweat it. Just learn from the experience and improve the next time.
😂😂😂 M1 too soon
Rip in peace
Talk to the rest of my team, they seem to be doing just fine...
