Done that multiple times on a couple different meds and your experience may vary depending on the med. Most SSRIs and SNRIs will cause some really weird, sometimes debilitating feelings and sensations when you come off them - Effexor and Cymbalta especially are known for causing the "brain zaps" when you quit too fast (my experience is like getting a wave of vertigo where, when I turn my head for example, it feels like the world has to catch up with me and it's nauseating). You'll probably feel very weird and kinda sick for a while until you start taking them again, but once you get the therapeutic load back in your system you'll feel fine.
Yeah SNRI (Prestiq) idk a better way to describe it than out of it, like brain fog or almost a buzz but not enjoyable. Plus dizziness, some nausea etc. I told my Dr all of this and she said it was normal and assured it should go away w restarting but i just was hoping to hear some firsthand experience too for reassurance lol
I haven’t had adequate healthcare access for the past 2-ish years and was skipping doses frequently to save money / not have to pay a co-pay and see a doctor for a refill. You may have that feeling until your body gets readjusted (even when you start taking the meds again). Try to taper up when you go back on it so it’s not as abrupt stop / start. Like if you take say 20 mg, go 5 for a few days, 10 for a few days, etc. This is all hypothetical, so ask doctor first for specifics!
I also feel out of it when accidentally skipping doses. I also get increased heart rate and night sweats
