Hey coach, Copy partners in your emails to IT. Ask a new laptop. Say client deliverables are being delayed because of these IT issues. Soon partners will see $$$ going down the drain and demand a fix

I have always wondered about this myself.

How’s your legal assistant?

I ask more because some of those issues might be solved if your assistant worked on the document e.g. running the redlines. Additionally if the problems you’ve described don’t happen for your assistant, I think then there’s more of an argument that the IT issues are specific to you.

Wow, I read your list of example problems and this is not normal. My firm also has document scrubbing software, redline software, etc. and I've never experienced any of those issues happening. The closest I've experienced is that our word plugin for inserting our document ID numbers in the footer sometimes screws up the footer and/or closes whatever window I had open, often a window in which I have a carefully crafted cover email, and that already drives me up the wall. My advice is to bring this up with an influential partner the next time you both have some time for a casual check-in. But first, check around to see if you are the only one with these issues or if they're widespread. It's a lot easier to bring up if you can point out that this is a widespread issue.

I need some advice, Wife forced me to buy her a $68,000 car with 1000/monthly payment for 6 years. We need to sell now due to potential move out of country. Best offer from dealers is 52k. Meaning I have to cough up the difference or keep paying 1k a month for something we don’t need. How can I reduce this liability??
