Has anyone received a green card sponsorship from a biglaw firm? I am lateraling into a V50 firm and have been told sponsorship is evaluated on a case by case basis. Wanted to see if anyone had experience with this, it doesn’t seem that easy to qualify under the EB-2 category.

Hi. After an H1B petition is withdrawn, who receives the notice of revocation? Beneficiary or petitioner? And if the beneficiary has another approved I-797 and the notice of revocation is not received by them, does that cause issues at the border at the time of re-entry?

One school (old school?) says that job hopping is a bad look on a resume while others think it’s the new normal and is fine as along as you can explain the moves you’ve made. I just received a resume for what I believe to be an attractive in house role. Great skill set, but 5 jobs in less than a dozen years. I won’t interview this candidate. Any insight into Shearman (Finance) culture in NY?

Currently work at a 2 person firm (me & owner/partner). Don’t make much but lots of freedom and flexibility. ~$250k in loans current IBR paying $0. Interviewed at local legal aid & was offered job $17k more plus 401k benefits & of course loan forgiveness. Two days after that offer my boss tells me he wants me to become partner. Firm is kind of poorly managed and he wants me to help make it better. Having a hard time deciding. Should I put all my eggs in the PSLF basket or become partner?
