That’s a terrible follow up question. Who does that?
M1 - ?
I am also 0/2 in terms of successes after getting that question in final interviews... good luck OP :/
I had someone wish me good luck on my job search after a dinner interview...🙄
Dang, congrats! That would have freaked me out too haha.
Yep. I told them what I had learnt through the interview process and the new reasons it had given me to be interested in the role. I was honest that I thought there were some questions I could have answered more effectively but put it down to some nerves.
In my case it was a bit of a negotiating tactic on their side. I was pushing for a much higher salary than usual so they wanted to make sure I was keen & willing to collaborate with them on an offer that worked for us both. We did a bit of back and forth and got to a great solution.
Have confidence and be honest. If you have a crappy interview, say you have a crappy interview and you’re frustrated. If you loved it, say you loved it. People aren’t idiots and it is respectful to be honest (politely, of course).
Interesting, I hadn’t thought about it as a negotiating tactic. Thanks for sharing your experience!
I did like a fish bowl panel interview once, and they asked what I thought of the interview process. I basically told them I thought it sucked in nicer words. Still got an offer
Sounds like a pretty decent culture to be at, happy to hear it worked out
