Many #machinelearning algorithms, whether supervised or unsupervised, make use of distance measures.
Take k-NN for example, a technique often used for supervised learning. As a default, it often uses euclidean distance.
By itself, a great distance measure.
Knowing when to use which distance measure can help you go from a poor classifier to an accurate model.

I am, but set it up prior to AB5 going into effect. I’ve only been W4 this year, so not sure how much it will matter from here on out, since the agencies I’ve worked with have hardcore refused to hire me as 1099

I’m in NJ. have had my LLC for 10 years. I work with everyone big/small agencies/companies and have had no problems with AB5. I would encourage you to read the AB5 law (along with the ABC & Borello test) to better understand how to navigate client conversations if/when they come up.
I subcontract some work out every so often, I want to expense a ton for taxes, and I want to position myself as a vendor (not a freelancer).. those there the reasons why I have my own llc.
