I used to eat like 3000 calories and tons of sugar. Couldn’t stop. But after going paleo for a week, totally readjusted my cravings. Like magic
Is this really a question? Of course people are snacking and snacking a lot. But glad to hear you’re skinny and in shape…
Not bragging, just making the point that weight isn’t an issue for me, but point taken that it might come off as bragging
I went paleo and it really curbs the cravings
Yeah I need to try something. It’s getting out of control. I used to be addicted to nicotine, and the cravings here are almost worse. I could have swapped one addiction for another…
Try drinking water. When you have a good craving sometimes you are actually dehydrated. There are all sorts of drink mixes you can get to flavor the water if needed (monitor the sugar content though).
Plain popcorn without butter is a pretty healthy snack and it helps you feel full.
Another thought: don’t completely restrict yourself. My dad put himself on a diet and every day that he ate healthy all day he would eat a hostess cupcake or something similar that evening. He said “knowing I would get that cupcake in the evening is what kept me on track eating a salad at lunch.” He lost a significant amount of weight on that diet.
I actually became addicted to nicotine products despite never smoking and now face the daily struggle of starvation. Similar to the constant need to snack. It’s like an oral fixation thing.
No, like gum but mostly the little pouches that idk how to describe. They’re called zyn. They contain nicotine powder and they come in all kinds of flavors (even coffee!)
Definitely not uncommon to snack more—I’ve been doing it too. Upping my protein intake, particularly at breakfast, has really helped curb my snacking. I’ve also found time-restricted eating to be helpful since I can still eat whatever I want, but I’m only eating those things during a limited window.
Aren’t lockdowns over now? Even during spring of 2020 I still had a home gym and actually got more in shape. Which I’ve kept up, luckily.
