Has anyone started a new job while expecting a child? I'm thinking about it but could use some input from people with experience.

FTM and first one in my friend’s circle to have a baby. Feeling pretty lost on when to do what. Like when do I sign up for a Lamaze class, and do I even need it. What other classes I need? And is my obgyn going to tell me when to start with the perineal massage. I am not even sure how I know of these terms but what if there is something out there I could do or I need to do and I don’t know about it.

Pregnant with my first baby and I’m having the WORST sciatic nerve pain. I had a back injury with nerve damage when I was in my early 20s and at 18 weeks pregnant, it’s almost unbearable. I’ve increased my prenatal workouts like yoga, Pilates and walking because my doctor said that helps but it’s not helping. Any advice from the momma fishes? 🙏🏻

Is there anyone that is teaching from home and your students have returned to school? How did you get permission to do that and how does that work with kids in the classroom? I am guessing there has to be an adult in the room while the students are in there but is there another teacher during their planning or do you have to get a sub? Our reentry has been delayed and I am working with HR to try and stay home while students aren’t there but it looks like I’m going to have to take some Parental Leave once students do return because there is not a plan otherwise.

I’m 37, 5 years into working for a distributor of building products and have climbed the ladder 🪜 from Territory Manager to Regional Sales Manager, but I’m in charge of 6 of our 7 states and want to travel less now that I have a child. I want to stay in sales and get back into commission vs. salary. I loved chasing the carrot and making more.

Need an opinion. I just finished week 2. I do an hour after school club at my district once a week on zoom and none of my own schools students participate. I received a very nasty and aggressive email from a parent making threats and hyperbolic accusations so I forwarded the email to the personnel at the district. They were supportive but is still willing to “work together to assist her”. I thought I was pretty vocal that I did not appreciate the way she addressed me and don’t take lightly to

What would you do? I live in a town home neighborhood, & the neighbor 2 doors down has a guest that blocks my driveway/parks in my spot, which is against HOA rules & makes it impossible for me to get out of my garage. I & the neighbor next door have spoken with them but they still do it. I went & took a pic of the car to send to the HOA & she came out & said “she’s moving her car you stupid ass B.” The hostility, poor manners & ghetto demeanor is just so off-putting. What would you do?

Do you typically share your salary or salary expectations with recruiters on the first interview? I’ve had instances where the interviewer flat out tell me the range of salary band via email even prior to initial interview. I think this is a great way to set expectations from the get go and will save both parties time - but some companies like to play the “game” and get you to share numbers first, which I find very annoying. What have your experiences been with salary expectations?

Additional Posts in Career Pivot

Been wondering about this a lot lately. How do you know if you're on the right industry/career? I've been kind of unhappy where I at but I don't necessarily think it's because of the work. I think it's more of the people I work with, which is also weird because they're technically really great people except for one or two.
