Has anyone successfully gotten an extension on one of their CPA exams from expiring due to covid?

I’m a first time dog owner, got a covid puppy, and would appreciate some advice around what to do with my dog, if I have to return to the office 3 days a week. I imagine I’ll be gone for about 9 hours. Do people just pay the $20-30 for a dog walker in Toronto? Isn’t that a lot of money? My dog’s breed doesn’t actually need much walking but he definitely would get bored by himself for so long. I am so torn, between taking a work from home 4/5 days job vs intense hybrid corporate work.

I just had a doc appointment and as I was walking up, I noticed 4 staff members with their masks completely pulled down below their chins until they saw me approaching. They then pulled their masks up but it made me uncomfortable. If masks are required in doctors offices, shouldn’t they remain on all the time even if patients aren’t in the immediate vicinity? Especially since covid can last in the air for hours. I’m vaccinated but higher risk

My brother is a mechanic with 10+ years experience but was laid off due to COVID. He's having a hard time even finding jobs to apply for and asked me for advice. I don't even know what someone can do without a degree. He has valuable hard skills but I just don't think there's a demand in NYC right now. Should I advise him to go to school? He'd have to fully finance his degree and I'm just not sure if it's worth it for him to start over at the bottom, or what industry he'd even fit in...

People need to start flying, booking hotels, visiting retail stores. We need our sanity and economy back. We need to understand that if we do not allow our cash to circulate we are all going to be in trouble pretty soon. Enough of just buying on Amazon, liquor stores, weed man etc. Go back to your normal life and spending pattern and wear your masks and sanitize. There are millions of people dying of wars (like Afghan), famine (like Yemen) and also Covid. Why should I be okay with my company donating and speaking on my behave with so much focus on BLM? I agree it matters, but overall, we live a good life in the United States comparing to the rest of the word, regardless of race. The attention to race equality is important but I feel bad for the poor forgotten souls that are facing other issues on earth. They matter too?

Given the presidents comments in the debate and the constant violations of the Hatch act that likely increased the risk of him catching COVID (ie all those maskless people on the lawn)...why should the American tax payers foot his medical bills now. This seems like something he should be paying OOP due to his recklessness

I'm shocked by how many smart people on here emphasize the wrong things in preventing the spread of COVID. It doesn't matter if a place looks clean and feels safe. Clorox wipes and gloves do not help much. The issue is how much time you spend close to other people, especially indoors, whether or not you are wearing masks (and, if so, N95 or surgical) and the air exchange rate. It isn't "safe" to eat indoors at a restaurant because it looks clean and the staff bleach the tables.
