Me : yes I understand, but you need to compensate me on some other parameters, maybe onsite opportunity. You cannot say since this is Infosys, take 30 or leave. HR : no, the max we can offer is 26. 😸😸

Hello Sharks, Need a suggestion. Had a verbal communication on profile and salary post selection (12th August) still haven’t received the offer letter. Getting updates that they are waiting for global team approval which is stuck due market conditions i believe. My LwD is arriving should I take Whatever offer i have which is comparatively less or ask company to retain as MS are not certain with when they can roll the offer out. Microsoft

Yes I did and it def made the CPA more challenging, and it is already a tough exam. I would study approximately 2-3 hours during the week, and weekends use them as full training days. No girlfriend or social life for a while but def doable if you are consistent with your studies. If I could do it all over again, I would change my testing methodology to be as follows: Far, Audit, Reg, BEC.
Good luck with your studies, and know that it is possible, but it might require some social sacrifices on your end (i.e. self isolation)
Yes. Consistently woke up and studied between 5-7am and then 7-9pm everyday, it’s doable and will suck for one year but it’s so worth it at the end
Pro
Yeah. Did CFA Level I and II concurrently too. Not fun, but doable.

Yes but in 2001...
Yes.... it’s hell but as long as you develop a schedule, it’s surely doable. Dedication and Persistence are critical

Yes but it was my first year and I was a good test taker at the time. I studied a in small doses probably 5 nights a week by watching videos and taking practice tests/questions.

Yes in 2006. And CIMA which is hard! I was at EY then and they had pass or youre fired policy. No pressure 💥💥
Enthusiast
Haha! I did CIMA in UK when I lived there as I didn’t want to be in audit where they shoved all the grads. The only qual you can’t audit on 🤔 except I was shoved into M&A instead 🤣
Yep studied 8-9 am every morning. 2-3 hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Yes...as senior 2-3 (back in 2013-14)
Yes, studied about 2 to 3 hours every night and then all day on the weekends. But I didn’t read the book or watch the lectures, I just did the multiple choice
Chief
Yes, 2015-2016. It sucked so much, but I got it done as an associate and was immediately thankful I didn’t wait until I was a senior.
Pro
My husband did. He studied all the time.
Yes 2018 & 2019
Yup last year. Studied 2 hours a night and 8-10 hours Saturday’s and Sunday’s. It sucked but only 6 months of my life and during winter
Yes, many years ago and with a baby. It’s doable, just takes commitment and discipline.
Yes in 6 months and I cried every day.
