For me, tea is a slower and more gradual high than coffee. Coffee (especially espresso drinks like lattes) are immediate to kick in and to crash. I do need more tea throughout the day than I do coffee (I drink about three cups a day) but I don’t get jitters.
I feel much better when I drink tea than coffee. I don’t get the jitters like I did with coffee
I have a couple times for various reasons. What helped me was to keep an electric kettle in my office so I could make a cup of tea whenever I wanted without having to leave my office. You’ll definitely need more tea than coffee for the same caffeine hit, but I don’t notice a crash with tea like I do with coffee.
Yes. I switched and started brewing loose leaf black tea in a French press, which gave me about three mug fills throughly the morning. I found it absolutely sustained me. I think it is still a good amount of caffeine, so if trying to specifically cut out caffeine it may not be the best option. But for me, helped me get the caffeine jolt without the upset coffee stomach.
Time to get myself a French press. Thank you!
Went from espresso to tea to green tea pills to no caffeine. It was difficult at first because I went through withdrawal but it got better and I found that I slept better.
I switched to Yerba mate-based drinks. Which ended up being an error, because now what I drink is higher caffeine than coffee and I’m hopelessly dependent.
