Has anyone switched from public accounting to marketing? I’m currently in my early 20s and have over 2 years of experience in public accounting, but I want to try something new and different. I’m worried the switch would be extremely difficult since the skill set in both industries are different.

Could you do marketing for a PA firm? Line experience could be seen as a benefit.

You can absolutely switch - i have a friend who switched in her early 30’s - she’s much happier now. Maybe take a couple of classes in marketing to get up to speed. Good luck!

#SAP senior tech consultant vs #Snowflake SQL cloud support engineer?

Base/bonus are about the same. SAP has RSUs but not with the offer. Snowflake has RSU as part of the offer (not sure how much yet though). Both within a growing team with great potential, visibility, and impact.

SAP would be more sales support & client interactions more mplementation & sales engineering.
Snowflake would he dealing with tickets. Quarterly reviews with "quotas" and metrics. Weekend/holiday rotation as well.

I've been on the engagement for 5 years. Every year my P tells me how great I am and how core partner(s) love me etc. Yet I am not given a chance to be a lead - I am a SM, she is keeping a male D over me year after year. I'm sick of it and honestly don't like working with him and reporting to him as he doesn't listen, doesn't care of my opinion or perspective and takes the credit when things go well but I get blamed when they don't go so well. I also have zero opportunity to get beyond the box

My significant other has a chill 9-5 job. On our date, they tend to add a stop or an errand (grocery shopping, dropping off a return, etc) that is waste of my time (20-30min). I’m busy and stressed and I buy my time to relax and they don’t understand. They feel like I treat my time as more important than theirs. (I sometimes pay for dinners, they make the drive to my house). Is this fair?
