My ex went from security and studying psychology to being a cop while we were together. Being a cop is no joke, he’s seen people die, emotional abuse of children he could do nothing about and so much more. It takes a specific type of person to be able to deal with those things plus the general hate from the public and in my opinion it isn’t worth it. He quit police work after 5 years and is a lot safer and happier now.
It would be a lot more money, less life threatening and most people won’t hate you. So it just depends on what you want. I think, personally, that you’d get tired of being a cop real quick. If you have the option and drive to go to law school, that sounds great.
If you’re already burnt out then you’re definitely not gonna survive lost school. What’s the end result of being a police officer is completely different from being a lawyer. What’s the goal and end result? If you’re already willing to consider quitting then you’re definitely need to consider what you go through in law school or the police academy.
Have you consider taking a year off from school to just work and decompress? Law school will probably be great for you, but you should wait until you aren’t burned out to begin - it’s a hard journey already.

The problem for me is the job prospects after.
