Really nervous that going on necessary short term disability for a few weeks is going to hurt my promotion schedule. Is that nuts or will it be viewed negatively by management?
Is just me or do offshore team mates get sick significantly more often than onshore team mates? Noticed this on my last three projects and I always end up taking L and doing their share of the work
Has anyone taken disability leave, and then used it to look for jobs? How does this work legally?
How hard is it to transition from medical device (e.g., neuromodulation) to pharma/biotech?
We risk exposure and bringing it home to our families every time we walk into work, yet are limited to time off work without penalty. What's your sick leave policy?
Life / Career Advice: I applied to medical school since my MCAT score was set to expire, ended up getting into 1 program. I also have an opp to join a well funded/well established Healthtech Startup (6 figure salary w/ equity + benefits) as a BD professional. I enjoy the business side of things and am unsure if I would end up practicing Medicine (medicine is also a long arduous path). At the same time, having an MD holds a lot of clout/authority in HC. Any thoughts on what I should do?
I hate that it takes me being sick on the couch for a weekend to realize I need to chill TF out and take care of Me first.
My SA is clearly taking credit for all my work. He pushes all his slides onto me and then says it’s better for me to be working when he gets facetime with seniors. The other week, I was feeling nauseous and asked for a break and he denied saying workload was too high. Then, when I filed for a sick leave, he blamed me saying that seniors think he’s overworking associates and I’m making him look bad. I’m new to consulting so really don’t want to leave a bad impression. But how do I tackle this?
Being sick on keto sucks! What do you guys reach for? Wanting ramen noodles, applesauce and toast ☹️
for people whose parents might be visiting from India to the States, would you recommend any particular travel and/or medical insurance?
One week into kindergarten, already scheduling my first PCR for a sick kid. Buckle up, I guess?
Returned from sick leave and found out from other people at the office I totally messed up on a project that I worked on prior to sick leave. Now that my reputation has been ruined and facing an upcoming negative performance review. No one at the office stood up for me despite of positive work done prior to COVID or wants to hear what I have to say. I m bothered by this gaslighting practice both professionally and personally. I felt I was designated as the scape goat. Continued.

If you’ve ill informed friends and families about the virus and race, please call them out and inform them of the realities. The virus is a problem in itself, we don’t need more racism and violence.
Housing market is pretty good; I'd like to buy a place but wonder if it's ill advised since I haven't paid off all my student debt yet and there are rumblings about an impending recession
I submitted an app 2 weeks ago, got a referral to McKinsey a week ago...do I still have a chance of being contacted?
If you request a salary that’s too high does the hirer usually tell you it’s too high and offer you the salary they had in mind or just ghost you and move on to the next candidate?
I am interviewing for a campus recruiting role and would love if others can share common questions they get asked so I can use for prepping. Thank you!

Hello my fellow PAs, How are your clients handling COVID since most aspects of our jobs went remote? I’ve been working through emails and less phone calls. But I doubt this will hold up much longer. What do you think?
Does everyone who joins Big 4 have a 2 years and done mindset or just me? I feel like I just joined Kentucky and enjoying the ride until draft day.
Today is my first day of my first IVF cycle. After getting the green light to start IVF based on my negative COVID test, baseline ultrasound and bloodwork, I feel relieved that this day has come after unsuccessfully trying to conceive naturally and with IUI, and even excited now. LET'S DO THIS!
Senior CW w/ 5 years experience in NYC and MIA?
What’s a reasonable answer when a small, independent agency asks what your desired salary is? Info on Glassdoor is limited given they’re all smaller. For context, I’m a junior with just a little over a year of experience so v green. Thanks!
Unexpectedly got an interview for product management at a large tech company (potential dream role). This is a big deal for me and the direction I want to go. Trying to schedule the 1st round a week out so I can prepare, but can't help feeling like I'm not smart enough. Feeling really anxious about totally embarrassing myself, especially because I know how much others prepare. Any tips/advice on preparation or dealing with this level of anxiety for an interview?
My roommate is denying to pay his share of rent he supposed to pay also which he has been paying till Dec 2020. This is not due to COVID but we had an argument using common places in Jan 21,until then he was paying his share of rent $1100 which he agreed to pay for the master bedroom which is quite large that he is occupying, after the brawl he is saying he can pay only equal share of the rent $1950/2 =$975, he also wants the extra money back that he claims that he extra paid. How do i solve ?
I'm currently a second year analyst heading for promotion at a T2 firm. I'm also interviewing with MBB in the coming weeks. My goal is to apply for MBA programs in a year or two from now. What would be the best work experience for my applications? Would it make more sense to stick with my firm and start taking on more responsibility as a consultant / associate? Or would it make more sense to start from square 1 at a better brand (MBB)
I was offered a position at Deloitte for ~26k more than I’m making currently, but they told me that in 2.5 years when the contract is over I will be out of a job. Obviously I’ll be able to network within those two years and probably find something more permanent, so it’s very similar to gig work at BAH. I also just started a new project at BAH last month so I feel uneasy leaving after a month. Can someone at Deloitte give me more insight about PDM work at the company?
First year C here. Button down + chinos + blazer okay for the holiday party? Too casual?
Got an offer from Guidehouse as a senior consultant in HIA back in January. The recruiter is MIA and not coming up with joining date and giving reasons like other PRoject team was put on bench and they will be allocated first before giving joining dates to the new hires. What should I do...if the recruiter comes back with the joining date. Should I join? What is the business situation at Guidehouse right now?
